Privacy & Security
This page is maintained by the Resume Lab team to answer common questions about how we handle your data. It describes our current practices and is not an independent certification.
What we collect
Resume Lab only stores what you give it: the resume text you paste or upload, the job description you provide, and the AI-generated scores and rewritten resume. We do not collect names, emails, addresses, or payment information separately — anything personal lives only inside the text you choose to submit.
Who can see your submissions
Every browser is automatically signed into a private anonymous account on first visit. Each row you create is tagged with your account ID and protected by database row-level security so that only you can read, edit, or delete your own submissions. No other visitor — signed in or not — can access your data through the app or the database API.
Resume content is sent to our AI provider (the Lovable AI Gateway) purely to generate scores and the optimized rewrite. We do not sell or share submissions with third parties.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in our Lovable Cloud database (Postgres) with encryption at rest and in transit. Your draft text (what you typed but haven’t analyzed yet) is kept only in your browser’s local storage so it survives reloads, and it never leaves your device until you click Analyze & score.
Deleting your data
You can delete any submission from the History page; deletes are permanent. Clearing your browser’s site data also signs you out of the anonymous session and removes any local drafts.
